He is a Goomba, that gets treated different in the slavery war. He is very golden so he stands out from the species. He worked with Mario 318 and helped fight his own species in the war. He was very tough, so they had to find a way to kill him. He even survived a Dynamite. Chef Pee Pee made a lasagna to kill him. Paper Mario delivered it to him and lied and said he was undercover. After one bite, it was so bad he exploded. Two gold bars landed into Paper Mario's hand so he can sell it.

He had one last chance to strike. After exploding into that gold and being sold everywhere, Dan got ahold of that gold from stealing it from Hej Kol. While Dan has a conversation with Scan about how it was pointless to have the gold, all gold forms together to bring back Gold Goomba. He mentions how Eyereez was about to torture him. The obvious answer to how is because of the mention in his quote. "Some red eyeball creature was about to curse me". He mentions that he needs to help Mario 318, but due to his death he has no idea how much time passed and that the war did end. Xinny comes along to mention Mario 318 lost the war, and demands Whispering Squash to kill him. This marks the end of Gold Goomba.
